This test is offered for any puppy that passes their 6 week puppy socials or puppy activity class.  Tests will be offered through out the year to accommodate puppy's up to one year of age. See AKC, web site, Star Puppy Test for more information on line.  Brochures and explanation of test will be given during the class.

Class Three Puppy Plus

For puppies 6 months  up to one year. For puppies who have passed their Puppy Socialization and Puppy Activity, or have been moved into this class.  Continuation of socialization, heeling on lead, recalls with distractions, sit and down stays and more. Positive reinforcement for  basics and helping you thru those tough "doggie teens".  Most puppies will test you at this age and stage of learning. If you have started with our Class One you will have the tools to deal with these behaviors and this class will expand those tools and help you stay focused on the task.  If you are new to the program several private lessons to catch you up will be necessary.  New students over 6 months that have not been in our Puppy Socialization Class are required to come in for an Evaluation before being scheduled into a class.

Cheerios only for Puppy Socialization( Higher classes see recipe below or any soft treats of your choice)  for Lesson One and Two.  I will provide meat treats during those times if is necessary. Use only cheerios at home as well. Lesson three you may add some meat treats to your cheerios. A simple recipe is to take a hot dog, (beef or chicken), cut in half long ways, then long ways again so you have four strips.  Cut those strips in to cubes.  Lay flat on a paper towel and microwave for one minute.  Mix the cheerios and the hot dog in a baggie so the cheerios will absorb the juice. This will help make a smelling tempting treat as we   Most of all dress comfortably, tennis shoes are preferred.
